The Eredi di Cobelli Nosiol is made from 100% organic Nosiola grapes. It is a native Italian white wine variety that was widely cultivated until 15-20 years ago but is now slowly endangered to make way for international varieties. The variety Nosiola in this particular area of Trentino has always been called "Nosiol". It was the wine that was always drunk in "caneva" before the meal, on the return from the fields, in the company of the soft candlelight. A pleasant wine that in its being autochthonous best expresses the tenacity and potential of the hills of Sorni. The vineyard is located 450 meters above sea level and the production stands at 80 quintals per hectare.
Nosiol is a fragrant and young white, perfect expression of this interesting native variety. It has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose it expresses aromas of white flowers, notes of citrus, white fruit, tropical hints, fresh almond and iodized hints. The taste is pleasantly delicate and harmonious, with ripe fruity aromas and balanced freshness. The finish is of good persistence, finishing with slightly savory notes.
The grapes are gently harvested by hand to avoid breaking the berries. Fermentation is conducted in stainless steel barrels where it remains on lees for 8 months. It then spends another 9 months refining in the bottle.
