La Rasina Persante is a grape selection dedicated to grandfather Sante Mantengoli, who rediscovered the cultivation of grapes at the La Rasina farm. Grapes selected for this wine are harvested from parcels that Sante held in the highest regard, resulting in a powerful and generous wine reflecting Sante’s stubborn farmer way of life.
La Rasina 'Persante' Brunello di Montalcino is made using 100% Sangiovese grapes. The Brunello spends 24 months in 20/40 hl oak barrels and then over 6 months resting in the bottle before release.
Persante is a robust and persistent wine. Captivating showing notes of black prunes, cloves, coriander, fondant chocolate and bay. The Brunello is Full-bodied with a 14.50 alcohol percentage, biting tannins with vibrant character, and a finale of a horizontal and opulent finish.
Pair with red meat, game, roasts, salumi and aged cheeses.
Brunello is a wine for meditation, to be enjoyed at optimum conditions please open two hours prior to pouring.
