Atillio Ghisolfi's Barolo Ciabot Riserva is from 40 year old Nebbiolo vines situated in the Visette microzone. The Barolo Ciabot is matured for one year in Tonneaux then for a further 30 months in oak barrels. Before release the Ciabot is aged for a year in its bottle. The Barolo Ciabot is an elegant wine with intense red fruit on the nose with hints of mushroom and underbrush. Big tannins make way for extraordinary depth and length with cherry, spice and mineral flavours. Best paired with truffle dishes, roasted red meat and game or with mature cheeses.
