Santa Lucia le More Riserva

Le More is produced with 100% Nero di Troia grapes.
Vines are 15-20 years old, planted with a density of 5.500 plants/ha, and trained in single guyot.
Harvest is the first half of October; grapes are softly pressed then maceration takes place in rotating temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After fermentation in steel vats, the wine is aged in 228 lt. new French barriques for 18 months; and further ageing for a period of 24 months before its release. Production of Le More is 4000 bottles per year.
“Nero di Troia” grapes, are full of personality with tannins in their skin and fruit flavours in the pulp. It is an intense and full-bodied wine with velvety and sweet tannins balanced by acidity. Deep and dark granite colour; intense and persistent flavour of cherries, blackberries, riped black fruits, and spices. It has an aroma of ripe blackberries, black currant, and liquorice nicely contrasted by the herbal tones that form towards the long finish. This wine likes to be long-aged and gives its best expression 6-8 years after its harvest.
Try pairing the Nero di Troia Riserva with game, roasts, aged cheese or grilled mushrooms.
It is best to decant Riserva le More before serving at 18-20° C.
