Voltumna Riserva Q comes from 20 year old Sangiovese vines surrounded by evergreen oaks which it is said to smell of. Only the best grapes are selected for the Riserva Q and late harvested bunches. 

The Riserva Q after a maceration in steel until spontaneous fermentation occurs, is then aged for 24 months in barriques on the second or third passage. Unfiltered and unclarified.

On the nose it has aromas of stable, barnyard and leather. The Riserva Q is dry and full bodied with notes of ripe cherries, licorice, forest floor, leather and tobacco. Stringent and juicy acidity. Great concentration and good structure, elegant and charming with a long finish.

Best paired with traditional Tuscan fare - parpadelle with wild boar ragu or Fiorentina steak.
