Piazzano Ciliegiolo is an intriguing Tuscan red wine that melds together the natural brightness and red berry character of the Ciliegiolo with the power and richness that the wines from Empoli are typical of.  Piazzano's Ciliegiolo is succulent with red cherry, spice, leather tobacco and wild flower flavours. 

Ciliegiolo is a popular varietal blended in small quantities for Chianti. It is abundantly grown in Tuscany, Sicily and Umbria and is believed to be the offspring of Sangiovese. Ciligiolo is know for its fresh vibrant character.
