The Eredi di Cobelli Schiava (pronounced ski-ah-vah) is a light Italian red wine hand-harvested, with minimal intervention in the cellar. Schiava (also known as Vernatsch) is a versatile local grape, redolent of violets and pretty berry fruits. Lithe and delicate it is perfect as an aperitif or lightly chilled. Cobelli Schiava is a vibrant ruby red Trentino wine with a red fruit nose of currants, strawberries and red cherries. On the palate light, fresh and delicate.
The Schiava was fermented over 10-15 days before elevage in barrels and large casks until the next harvest. It then spent an additional year in bottle.
