6MURA Vermentino di Sardegna from Cantina Giba is a salty, mineral and well balanced white wine produced in the south-western end of Sardinia. The predominantly hot and sunny climate with scarce rainfall and fresh mistral winds allow the varietal to find one of its maximum territorial expressions. The 6Mura Bianco is 100% Vermentino from 20 to 30 year old vineyards located by the sea with a south-east exposure on sandy clayey soils. The winery has 20 hectares of vineyards where there is no use of chemical treatments.

 

The 6MURA Vermentino di Sardegna is produced with carefully selected grapes and harvested by hand between the end of August and the beginning of September. The bunches are de-stemmed and gently pressed to then carry out a short maceration on skins followed by alcoholic fermentation, spontaneously, in stainless steel tanks. The Vermentino ages for 12 months in stainless steel on lees giving structure and body to the wine.

6MURA Vermentino presents itself as a beautiful bright straw yellow colour. The nose features intense aromas of citrus, including lime and grapefruit, mineral hints and a pleasant almondy recall. It is clean and fresh on the palate, characterised by beautiful sapid and mineral notes. 6MURA Vermentino is a harmonious and balanced white wine that fully expresses the full aromaticity of the grape.
Best paired with seafood dishes, grilled tuna, swordfish, oysters and prawns.
