Andrea Scovero's Amphora Barbera is grown in the natural amphitheatre in his east facing vineyard. Soil is rich in clay, sand and limestone and vines are 40 years old. After manual harvest the grapes are de-stemmed then fermented for 25 days with their skins in stainless steel tanks, before gentle pressing and then continuing ageing 300-litre amphoras until bottling in June 2018.
