Selvadolce VB1 Vermentino
VB1 stands for Vermentino - Barrique - 1 year. The VB1 is made from 100% Vermentino grapes grown in vineyards planted 50 years ago by Aris's grandfather. The vines are arranged on large terraces in mainly calcareous-clayey soil. The harvest is made manually in a few passages to ensure the perfect degree of ripeness of each bunch. The grapes, after careful quality selection, are vinified in second and third passage barriques. Starting with two weeks maceration on skins followed by ageing of roughly 12 months in wood on the fine lees giving the wine structure and body.
At a sensorial level the "VB1" Vermentino has a great olfactory and gustatory impact. It is amber colour with orange reflections; on the nose intense notes of apricot, yellow flowers and honey. A finish of sweet spices and dried fruit greets the sip, fresh and mineral, balanced by a soft and pleasant tannin and a finely savory finish. An authentic, straightforward and direct bottle which contains the care and passion of a winemaker who respects and enhances his land. Ideal as an accompaniment to typical Ligurian dishes, both sea and land.
